Generalforsamlingen i Dubai

Takket World Physiotherapy for støtten

Forbundsleder Gerty Lund i Norsk Fysioterapeutforbund takket World Physiotherapy for støtten i forbindelse med dobbeltautorisasjon av manuellterapeuter, samt støtten organisasjonen ga tilo alle under pandemien under første dag av generalforsamlingen.

Første dag av generalforsamlingen i Dubai er over. Styret har i dag - tirsdag 30. mai - vedtatt styrets melding for de siste fire årene.

I tillegg har debatten knyttet til lovendringer og vedtekter gått varmt. Norge har -  sammen med de nordiske landene og den europeiske regionen - jobbet intenst gjennom dagen for å få stoppet forslaget om vedtektsendringer. Endringene ville  hatt stor betydning for europaregionen og regionens selvstendighet.

De nordiske landene er - sammen med flere av de europeiske landene - bekymret for at endringene ikke er godt nok utredet og at konsekvensene ikke er kartlagt. Avstemmingen om lov- og vedteksendringer er første post på agendaen 31. mai.

Vedtak

Generalforsamlingen har i dag vedtatt at følgende undergrupper av World Physiotherapy:

1. International Acupuncture Association of Physical Therapists (IAAPT)

2. International Association of Physiotherapists working with Older People (IPTOP)

3. International Confederation of Cardiorespiratory Physical Therapists (ICCrPT)

4. International Federation of Orthopaedic Manipulative Physical Therapists (IFOMPT)

5. International Federation of Physical Therapists working in Occupational Health and Ergonomics

(IFPTOHE)

6. International Federation of Sports Physical Therapy (IFSPT)

7. International Neurological Physical Therapy Association (INPA)

8. International Organisation of Aquatic Physical Therapists (IOAPT)

9. International Organisation of Physiotherapists in Paediatrics (IOPTP)

10. International Organization of Physical Therapists in Mental Health (IOPTMH)

11. International Organization of Physical Therapists in Pelvic and Women's Health (IOPTPWH)

12. International Physical Therapists for HIV/AIDS, Oncology, Hospice and Palliative Care (IPT-HOPE)

13. International Private Physiotherapy Association (IPPTA)

14. International Society for Electrophysical Agents in Physical Therapy (ISEAPT

 Valg av ny leder

Møtet i dag ble avsluttet med presentasjon av kandidatene til presidentvervet i World Physiotherapy.

Vervet er ikke et betalt verv. I morgen - 31. mai - skal forsamlingen stemme over en foreslått endring av perioden man kan sitte som president. I dag blir du valgt i fire år og kan ta gjenvalg i ytterligere fire år.. Forslaget betyr at presidenten velges i fire år og kan ta gjenvalg i to år.
